Hutchins BBQ

If you are a BBQ lover you may have heard of the famous Hutchins BBQ. Located in McKinney off Tennessee Street this popular BBQ joint has been a part of the best Texas BBQ lists for years. While the lines may be long, I highly recommend checking out this place because it is definitely worth the wait.

We happened to be up in the Collin County area and decided to give this place a try for lunch. We were surprised by the lines even for lunchtime, but the efficiency of the staff and the quality of the food made it all worth our time. Famous for items such as their Texas Twinkie( a jalapeno wrapped in bacon and stuffed with brisket) and their ribs its hard to pick from their delicious smoked menu items. On our visit we tried a variety of options and nothing was less than impeccable.

To order you will follow the line cafeteria style and choice your meats and sides by the portion sizes. Then before sitting down everything will be weighed and paid before prior to sitting down in their large café area. Since we wanted to try a little bit of everything we grabbed one of their larger platters that came with brisket, ribs, a sausage and a side of their mac n cheese. We also grabbed some complimentary fixings of pickles, onions, and jalapenos to complete our meal. Everything had such good flavor and it was hard to pick a favorite. It was a great meal and we had plenty to share amongst two people.

This place is definitely famous for a reason and is a new favorite for us. I look forward to returning soon to try out more of their delicious menu items.
