Via Real Restaurant

If you are craving southwestern or tex-mex cuisine then you need to check out Via Real Restaurant next time you are in Irving. Conveniently located in the center of the Metroplex off MacArthur Boulevard you will find this lively restaurant that offers a beautiful dining atmosphere and delicious dishes that will have you happy or satisfied.

This restaurant is open weekly for lunch and dinner with dinner only options on the weekends. Since we had a day off of work we decided to check them out for lunch to try and beat a busy crowded dining time. We were lucky to have the place almost to ourselves and receive the upmost attention from the entire staff. From the welcoming hostess who quickly got us seated at a table of our choice to the friendly waiter who was quick to provide us with waters and food recommendations without making us feel rushed through the service.

To start off the meal we enjoyed their fresh crispy chips and delectable red salsa that tasted so fresh. It was the perfect mix of salty and tangy. We also grabbed the fajita nacho appetizer that came pilled high with chicken, black beans, a mix of Monterey & cheddar cheeses, sour cream, and guacamole. It was incredibly filling and something that I personally could of made a meal of.

Though still hungry for more, I decided to try their featured lunch entrée of smoked chicken enchiladas that came with Spanish rice and a tortilla house salad with roasted salsa. As if I wasn’t full before it was hard to resist the delightful flavors of the dish that were homey and comforting. My friend enjoyed her salmon fish tacos that were topped with avocado, roasted corn and pineapple salsa, spinach and served with an array of sauteed vegetables and borracho beans. She commented on how great the mix of flavors were and we both agreed that the food felt elevated than a traditional Tex Mex restaurant.

This was such a great place to enjoy lunch and we know that we will be retuning soon to dive into their dinner menu for an upscale experience.
