Gahwena Coffee Station

While getting your annual auto inspection can be an annoying process, I recently discovered a place that I know I will be using in the future due to their excellent coffee shop. Located right here in Duncanville, off Main Street you will find Gahwena Coffee Station that is located right next to the Inspection Express.

This spot may be hard to see, but I am so happy I came across it while running some errands in the area. I had some time to kill and needed an afternoon pick me up and Gahwena was the perfect place to stop. This coffee shop had such an inviting and warm atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. Whether you just wanted to sit and chat with a friend or bring your laptop to accomplish some work, this spot had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy.

Their menu was packed with a variety of options whether you were hoping to enjoy a straight cup of coffee or pick something off their seasonal menu that offered fun flavors you are sure to enjoy. In addition to their handcrafted drinks they also had a large selection of grab and go items for snacks and drinks, in addition to some fresh toasted treats. Since I needed a caffeine fix I opted for their Charlie Brown shaken espresso with almond milk.

For being a whole in the wall place, I wasn’t sure what to expect from my drink, but I was blown away by the flavors. It was creamy, sweet yet bold with the bite of fresh roasted espresso. It was such a delightful surprise and I thoroughly enjoyed my drink and the wonderful hospitality of the kind barista. While I don’t live close by, I may rethink my next auto inspection so that I can not only take care of my car next door, but get to enjoy a wonderful drink at Gahwena again.
