One of my favorite cities in North Texas is McKinney. With a great downtown area that is easily walkable and several small businesses from restaurants to boutique, coffee shops and more there is so much to explore in this great town. A great way to find out what is happening and to even show your support for this city is by visiting their experience center known as Visit McKinney.
Located directly in this downtown area off Virginia Street, you will find a great place to purchase some souvenirs, gifts and learn more about what this town has to offer. We have been several times to gather more information and even purchase items that show our support for McKinney. Recently we had the opportunity to work directly with the tourism center to receive complimentary hotel bags for an event we were throwing. It was easy to email with the tourism director to plan an event a local McKinney hotel and as a favor they gave us bags filled with welcome packets, a map, and several McKinney themed items that helped add to the experience.
If you are looking to not host an event, but attend, Visit McKinney has you covered on that front as well with several events hosted in the downtown center throughout the year. From a film, music, and fun events they have something for everyone. I would highly recommend visiting their website to see what is new and happening in McKinney.
