While the price of groceries is currently a hot topic, did you know that there is a discount grocery chain right here in Arlington? Located off Cooper Street you can find WinCo Foods that is a 24/7 supermarket that offers a large selection of discounted groceries and bulk items.
From walking inside you will feel like you are on a regular shopping trip as the large store is clearly laid out by item type similar to a traditional store. With produce, shelf table, a deli, bakery, frozen foods, and more you can find everything you need all in one place. The best part is that the groceries prices can stay low based on their employee-owned model rather than a shareholder profit sharing model.
When going through the aisles I loved seeing how fresh everything was and that there was so much variety. They even carried several brand new products that you would find in a traditional store, without the high price tag. One negative to the shopping experience was that WinCo doesn’t accept credit cards as a form of payment ensuring a way to keep costs down. While this didn’t deter me from shopping here, it is something to note before heading to the store.
