Rodeo Goat

If you are a gourmet burger connoisseur, then you need to check out Rodeo Goat. This eccentric restaurant known for their Texas sized burgers with unique flavor combinations is the perfect place to visit whether you are dining alone, on a date, or even grabbing lunch with friends. With several locations across the Metroplex it’s easy to find a restaurant nearby, but on my latest visit I got the opportunity to check out their spot in Coppell. Located in the Cypress Waters district off Wharf Road this lakeside restaurant is perfect for dining outside and enjoying the beautiful view.

I have been several times and love their fun concept of their traditional favorites from the menu in addition to their two specialty burgers that go head-to-head weekly and battle for crowd favorite. While I have my go-tos from their main menu, I always have to check out the battle of the burgers before placing my order. I also enjoy their delicious, loaded fries that are the perfect way to start off the meal. Piled high with cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapenos, and their meaty chili over fresh cut fries it will make you feel like you’re having a juicy burger without the bun. On this visit, I was craving something spicy, so I went from their main menu with the Bodacious that comes with American cheese, bacon, crispy onions, grilled jalapenos, pickles, smoked jalapeno mayo, and their BBQ sauce. It was the perfect mix of smokey and tangy and big enough to have me full by the end of the meal.

With the fries I was completely full, but if you have room for dessert, I would highly recommend one of their handspun milkshakes that are made with Blue Bell ice-cream. My personal favorite is their thin mint that tastes just like a Girl Scout cookie and is the perfect sweet treat to round out a tasty meal.
