After running around for the holidays and being cooped up with the cold weather, I knew that my dog and I needed to get out of the house to enjoy some fresh air. A friend of mine recommended Rush Creek Dog Park and after seeing how close it was to me, I decided to check it out. Located near Lake Arlington off Valleywood Drive, you can find three dog parks known as Rush Creek that are clean and safe for your fur friend.
This no frills dog park was exactly what I was looking for. With plenty of space to run around and for me to relax, my dog was able to get rid of some of their peent up energy while I was able to enjoy a quiet bench to relax after the rush of the holidays. This spot had everything we needed including two separate areas for large and small dogs. Since I have a smaller dog, it’s always important to me that we find a spot that feels safe for them to play. I also noticed that the other guests at the park were great at following all the posted rules and helped to clean up after their animals during their visit.
While this spot didn’t have agility toys, it was large enough for us to play fetch which was exactly what we needed. They also had dog bags, waste baskets, water fountains, some shaded areas, and benches making it the perfect place to relax and play. Finding a place that not only fits our needs, but others are respectful of was a great surprise and I know that we will be returning here again soon.
