Texas Thrift

With how expensive life is getting, thrifting is becoming a new favorite hobby of mine. Whether I need to replace some items in my wardrobe for great prices or just wanting to donate some of my items to replace with something gently used, Texas Thrift is a favorite place of mine to go. Located in Irving off Belt Line Road, this spot is hard to miss with their large signage and massive space.

I’ve been coming to this location for years and have always loved the great experience whether I am able to find something or not. You can always count on new great inventory with every visit, and I love that they are open 7 days a week. They even offer daily tag discounts based on the item inventory tag color. Naturally I love shopping on 75% off days, but find that sometimes the inventory is more picked over so I would recommend arriving early.

The store, while quite large, is easy to navigate with their large aisles that make it easy to walk through and the clearly labeled signage that shows which item type is located in. They have something for everyone whether you are shopping for new clothes for women, men, children or home items including furniture and toys. They also have lots of associates walking around that are constantly restocking with different items and are great if you have a question. My favorite part of the experience is the easy checkout process that is similar to a self-checkout at the grocery store. That means no long lines and if you are only grabbing a couple of things, you can get in and out in no time at all.

They make the process simple with their drive-up donation station that they make easy with staff to help unload any items and quickly provide you with a slip that will help you for tax deductions. All in all, this spot is a great place whether you are hoping to treasure hunt or wanting to donate to make room for new finds.
