Their motto is the one-stop treat shop, and if you are someone who loves a great sweet treat, then this is definitely the spot for you. Newly opened in Arlington off Debbie Lane you will find Sugar Llamas that specializes in mini donuts and coffee concoctions. Unlike your traditional donut shop you will find over 20 flavor combinations ranging from super sweet Cotton Candy to a play on sweet and savory with their Boss Hog that features maple and bacon. No matter what your favorite sweet craving looks like, you can find something to enjoy at Sugar Llamas.

I had never been here before, but I was instantly drawn into their space that features bright colors and a fun atmosphere. The staff onsite was extremely friendly, but I believe are still working out the kinks of opening a new business. Inside everything was clean and well-kept with a huge display featuring their signature mini donut flavors in addition to some specialty options they had for the month. In addition to donuts, you can also enjoy a selection of their ice cream flavors and a variety of espresso based and reb bull mixed beverages. So if you are someone who enjoys sweets and caffeine, this is bound to be your new favorite place.

I knew I wanted to try one of their coffee drinks as their exoctic beans come from around the world. I went with a classic cold brew with some of their sugar-free hazelnut syrup for a touch of sweetness. Since I was in a rush, I didn’t get to enjoy my drink in their light and airy cafe space, but after my first sip the sugar rush was a bit too strong for my liking. While I would’ve liked to try one of their donuts, I would personally try something more savory like a sausage roll to tame the sweetness of their sugary drinks. Since they are a new business I would definitely like to give them, another try and especially look for something from their specialty menu.
