Life is better with donuts, at least that is the moto at Bakery Donuts. As a donut lover myself, I couldn’t agree more with this statement and one of my favorite places that I turn to time and time again is Bakery Donuts. Located in Arlington off Matlock Road this place is easy to access from 1-20 and great if you are looking for a sweet start to a calm weekend or wanting to pick up treats for your office gathering.
On my latest visit, I had low expectations since I was coming close to their closing time. Though upon walking in, their staff was quick to greet me and I was pleasantly surprised to still find several of my favorite items that I was planning on purchasing. They have so many varities of sweet and savory donuts whether you enjoy a classic glazed style, a bright and colorful decorated donut with fun toppings or even kolaches and breakfast sandwiches to start off your day with something more substantial. I decided to grab a mixed variety of their more classic style donuts and some donut holes that I knew would be perfect for a gathering I was attending.
Their pricing is quite affordable, and you can always count on this spot to have quality items that you are sure to enjoy. For a complete meal this donut place also offers a variety of cold drinks from their grab and go to the fridge in addition to a select variety of traditional coffee drinks. I loved that I was able to grab exactly what I needed and my favorites from my recent purchase were their delightful maple donut that was rich and delicious, and the chocolate covered donut holes that paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee at the office.
This spot is recently under new ownership, but you can still expect the same great quality that you know and love. If you have never been before, I would highly recommend stopping by next time you are in the neighborhood.
