With the weather not being too hot and my dog needing to get out of the office to release some pent up energy, I was in desperate need of a dog park. I was lucky enough to be recommend Doggie Depot, and feel confident in recommend this space to others who find themselves in a similar situation.
Located close to downtown Arlington off Mesquite Street you will find Doggie Depot. This spot is smaller than other parks in the area, but if you have a small dog like myself it works out to be the perfect space. Without a ton of foot traffic this spot is serene and we were lucky enough to have the entire space to ourselves. The small dog area was clean when we arrived and loved that they had separate spaces for large and small dogs. The park included plenty of space for my dog to run around in addition to seating for myself to enjoy while my dog played. The park also features a dog bag station that is perfect for cleaning up any messes that may happen.
While my experience was a good one, I should note that while we were leaving another owner arrived and didn’t seem to follow the posted rules in terms of areas of play for the size of their dog. I would still recommend this spot, but would use caution if you are worried about your dog’s size.
