If you are craving a homey spot for comforting breakfast and lunch food, look no further than Division Street Diner. As mentioned in the name this local spot in Arlington can be found west of Downtown off Division Street. Open daily until 2pm this spot is a must if you are looking for a hearty meal that is served with a smile.
When running errands in the area, my partner and I were struck with hunger and decided to check out this spot. Walking inside I felt like I was stepping back in time with the checked tablecloths and no frills atmosphere that was encompassed by the delicious smells of a sizzling grill. Since it was a weekday midmorning we had no problem finding a table, but can tell that this spot fills up on the weekends.
Our waitress helped us get seated and brought us out a steaming pot of coffee to enjoy while we looked over their menu. The menu had several pages of dishes ranging from breakfast to lunch options with varieties of sweet and savory that are perfect for every palette. We booth wanted breakfast and I choose sweet by trying out their house made French toast, 2 eggs of my choosing and crispy bacon strips that were the perfect complement to the sweet sugar powdered dusted French toast slices. My partner wanted something savory and knew that mexi skillet would do just the trick to satisfy his craving. This skillet was loaded with crispy hash browns, chorizo, chilies, and piled high with melted cheese. On top of the skillet were two perfectly fried eggs and salsa that paired well with the Mexican flavors.
We completely cleaned out plates and enjoyed our meal inside their family friendly dining room. The prices here were extremely reasonable for the amount of food we received. We both left happy and full and know that this is a spot we would love to return to when in the area.
