Don Artemio Restaurant

When you picture a Mexican restaurant, high class may not first come to mind. But what if I told you that there’s a spot that has been nominated for a James Beard award right here in the Metroplex. Yes, I’m talking about Don Artemio Restaurant that is located in the heart of Fort Worth right off West 7th Street.

From the moment you walk in you will instantly feel like you have walked into a high class establishment and the team at Don Artemio deliver that quality of service and more. Whether you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, try out a new spot for date night or just wanting a delicious meal with exceptional service, then this is the perfect place for you. My partner and I were looking for 2/3 and decided to check this place out for our date night. Since we were visiting on a weekend day we decided to make reservations online and found their online booking system to be easy and user-friendly.

We parked nearby and were happy to be seated immediately for our reservation time even though the restaurant was quite busy. We knew with how many people there were we had make the right decision in dining here for our date night out. Our server was quick to introduce themselves and point out several great options from their large menu. Whether you are craving something classic like ceviche or something with a twist like their Costillas de Cabrito(roasted baby goat), their menu options are sure to amaze you.

While we took some time to explore their menu we started off with a round of drinks. I loved their house margarita that was the perfect mix of sour tang from the lime and tequila to the citrus of the orange. The combination was delightful and the perfect way to start off the meal. For our entrees we decided to split the Chilean Sea Bass with mole negro and the Tartara de Atun(tuna tartare). When both dishes arrived we were amazed by the beautiful presentation that definitely screamed high dining. These dishes different disappoint on taste either and were perfect cooked and didn’t have any fishy taste. Everything was extremely fresh and prepared well.

We were incredibly happy with the service, the food and the drinks, and the beautiful environment of the space. While not a cheap date night by any means, it was a fantastic experience and one I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice evening out.
