Amman Grill

If you are a lover of Mediterranean cuisine, then you need to check out the newly opened Amman Grill. Located conveniently off State Highway 360 in Mansfield, this small but mighty spot specializes in charcoal-grilled meats, shawarma, and more.

After seeing this place on Tik Tok I knew I had to give it a try as the reviews were great, and the visuals of their Mediterranean style food were truly mouthwatering. Coming on a Saturday afternoon, we were lucky enough to grab one of the few remaining tables. Our server was quick to introduce herself and grab us some waters to start off with while we looked over their menu. Whether you are a meat lover or enjoy vegetable forward meals, their menu offers something for everyone. There was a lot to choose from making it hard to decide what to try.

For my lunch I grabbed the chicken shawarma plate that came with my choice of two sides. I picked their Greek salad that was served on a bed of chopped Romain lettuce and piled high with feta cheese, bell peppers, tomato, onion, black olive, red cabbage, cucumber and a tangy dressing on the side. I couldn’t believe how large the portion sizes were, and the salad alone was enough to make a whole meal. It was hard not to fill up on this alone as the main even was truly the grilled chicken that was juicy and perfectly seasoned. This also came with a lot of pieces of grilled chicken and paired nicely with the pickled vegetables, fresh pita bread and garlic sauce that was perfect for dipping. My other side of choice was their fresh-made Baba Ghanoush that was great with the pita and was extremely flavorful.

My friend tried their gyro sandwich that came with thick slices of perfectly seasoned beef and lamb gyro meat, lettuce, tomato, onion, and their tangy tzatziki sauce. As a side, they also ordered their fried cauliflower that was bright and tangy with fresh squeezed lemon on top. The entire meal was extremely filling and flavorful and left us with plenty of food to take home for another meal. For the price, the dishes were well worth it, and we loved the gracious hospitality of the staff. I know we will be returning again soon and I can’t wait to try some of their other menu items.
