Seven Mile Cafe

When I think of comforting breakfast the first place that comes to mind is Seven Mile Cafe. Located in Denton on Sadau Court you will find this American homestyle spot that is serving up delicious morning fare 7 days a week.

While not somewhere I get to visit often, Seven Mile Cafe has been a favorite of mine for years. Whether I am craving something sweet or savory, I know their menu offers a variety of options that are sure to make my tastebuds sing. On this particular visit, my partner and I were in the area for an event and wanted to grab some breakfast before heading back to Dallas. While we expected a wait as it was a Sunday morning, we were pleasantly surprised to get in with no wait. The restaurant was bustling full of families, solo diners, and groups of all ages enjoying their meals.

Our waitress was quick to introduce herself and brought us both menus to look at while she grabbed a hot pot of coffee for us to enjoy. Their menu features so much variety whether you are looking for breakfast or lunch, sweet or savory, small bites or big meals they have you covered. Not only is their food selection large, but their drink menu offers up something for everyone and even boozey choices and a full espresso bar for a fun weekend brunch.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant and inviting with an industrial farmhouse style that makes you feel right at home. All the waitstaff we interacted with were extremely kind and we loved our service from start to finish. After, we took some time with the menus and enjoyed our first round of coffee we placed our orders. For myself, I wanted something warm and comforting, so I chose the biscuits and gravy that came with two homemade butter biscuits, sausage gravy, crispy hashbrowns and eggs of my choice. While my partner grabbed their Breckies Burger that came with a beef patty, smoked bacon, a combination of jack and cheedar cheese, tomato, and lettuce and served with cheesy hashbrowns and a cilantro jalapeno sauce. Our food was delivered to our table hot and smelled truly delicious. We both enjoyed our meals and it was hard to pick a favorite as we sample d each others choices.

This restaurant continues to push the envelope with fun and interesting menu items and even has a full array of vegan options. It will be a place I recommend to friends and family looking for a great spot for breakfast or lunch.
