I had only recently started my newest series and page Nibbles and Reviews when a friend asked me to try these tacos. Intrigued, I added them to my list to ‘get to’ later. I researched and found a highly rated place in South Dallas near Bishop Arts and made my way over for lunch. When I got them, however, I knew I had made the best mistake and knew I’d be addicted! For those who do not know, birria tacos are made with meat (traditionally goat, but can be beef, veal, lamb, or pork) that has been made in a stew. The meat, once added to a corn tortilla, is then covered/dipped in the stew and fried on a flat top grill. It is a recipe for success that Del Sur Tacos has mastered. This particular location is wonderful. It has plenty of outdoor seating for nice sunny days but the inside is also both spacious and decorative with traditional yet modern Latin decor. As for the tacos, they are both juicy and crisp at the same time. This location adds cheese, which adds an extra layer of taste that only enhances the already delicious flavor. They only offer their birria tacos in beef and it comes in a pack of four. Every penny and every mile to get there was absolutely worth it! Be sure to check out my video to see my reaction to these tasty tacos!
Del Sur Taco has two locations in the DFW area, at 720 E Jefferson Blvd. Dallas, Tx and 4951 Eldorado Pkwy. Mckinney, Tx. And obviously the tacos are WORTH the trip. But what if you could walk there? Texas Pride Realty Group can show you great homes near both locations.
