Mellow Mushroom

Comfort food comes in all forms and for me, it’s a fresh slice of pizza. That’s why I am so happy to have a Mellow Mushroom in my area. Known for their funky esthetic and delicious stone baked pies, this place is sure to bring good vibes. Located in Downtown Arlington off Center Street it’s the perfect place to grab a bite before heading to one of the stadiums.

We decided to grab takeout from there recently and had an excellent experience. Ordering online was a breeze and we were completely able to customize our order. From picking out the type of sauce to the thickness of the crust and all of the delectable toppings it’s easy to create exactly what you’re craving. If you are looking for their recommendations, they also have several different preset options.

For our pizza we tried a large that was plenty for two people and even leftovers. We got the regular crust, red sauce base, pepperoni, jalapeños, banana peppers, and the slices double cut making it easy to eat. We also ordered sides of ranch to create our ultimate combination.

We arrived early and while we waited for our pizza the hostess offered us something to drink. We only had a short wait and it was well worth it for the hot pie. We absolutely loved the taste of the pizza and it was hard to not overindulge. Though we did take it to go, we knew we had to stop by again soon to eat at the restaurant. The space was decked out with cool décor. If the space isn’t enough to get you to stay their menu that is filled with not just pizza, but calzones, burgers, and wings will make you want to come back for more.
