Gil’s Elegant Catering

If you are looking for a caterer that not only provides delicious food, but exceptional service, then look no further than Gil’s Elegant Catering. Gil’s has been in business since 1983 and serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area for a variety of different events. Whether it’s wedding, corporate events, or family get together, they offer a variety of different packages including food and beverages for events of all sizes.

We were recommend to Gil’s through a friend who had used them for an event and loved their experience. From our first initial inquiry online to meeting the team in-person we can understand why they’ve been in business as long as they have. The team helped to provide us with an initial quote based off the package we were interested in, our event timing, and number of attendees. For what we received we believed it was well worth the price and loved that they had a variety of options for all of our catering and beverage needs.

From there we decided to visit them for an in-person tasting that was complimentary. For our tasting we chose several options for appetizers, salads, main courses and side dishes to try. Our sales coordinator was there to meet us at the facility and walk through each of the tasting options. We even were able to see a sneak peak of how service would run and the linens and dishware they offered for rent.

For our tasting we tried their spanakopita, Parma ham and asparagus bruschetta, masa shortbread and poached chicken salad, and caramelized onion and kalamata olive in a phyllo cup. Each of the appetizers were severed fresh and were the perfect bite sized options for a cocktail hour. It was hard to choose our favorite as everything had impeccable flavor. For our salads we were severed their southwest Cesar and Mediterranean salad. Both tasted delicious and were just as pretty as they were tasty. For our main course we tried a chicken piccata, herb-roasted chicken, and slow roasted sirloin with whipped horseradish cream. The meat was simply melt in your mouth and tasted great with their pasta choices.
