Brew & Batter

When looking for a no frills coffee location in Grapevine, look no further than Brew & Batter. Located off Texas Street right near historic Downtown Grapevine this spot is perfect to stop by when shopping in the area or if you need a cozy spot to enjoy while working remotely.

I found just that and more when I needed a spot to plug in my laptop and get to work. I loved that this coffee shop offered comfortable seating and a small parking lot which can be sometimes hard to find when visiting this popular area. Though small inside, you are sure to be impressed by their attentive service and delicious coffee and bakery items.

Their menu offers your traditional favorites like lates, americanos, and drip coffee in addition to matcha, chai and tea for those who don’t enjoy coffee. They also create homemade syrups to enhance the flavor of any of their options. Since I was looking for something bold and caffeinated to get me through the workday I decided on a 16oz Americano with their Carmel syrup.

While I got set up in one of their seating options, my barista got to work on my order. Within 5 minutes I had my drink in hand and ready to tackle my projects. My drink was pipping hot which I’m glad they warned me about but once I had my first sip it was perfect. I loved the touch of sweetness from the Carmel syrup that paired perfectly with the bold espresso flavor. It was a delicious drink and the perfect pick-me-up.

While I wasn’t in the mood for food, it was hard to resist as everything in their bakery case looked mouthwatering. And if you are a waffle connoisseur, I highly recommend checking out the batter side of their business with their selection of plain, flavored, and even gluten-free and vegan waffles. With so much variety to choose from and get service from my visit, I know that I will be returning soon!
