Ginger Brown’s Old Tyme Restaurant & Bakery

If you find yourself hungry in Lake Worth then you need to head to Ginger Brown’s Old Tyme Restaurant & Bakery. This hidden gem is known for their killer cinnamon rolls, but is a great place to dine for both breakfast and lunch. Located off Jacksboro Highway in the Lake Worth Center, this spot is open daily from 6am-3pm on weekdays and open until 4pm on weekends.

While spending some time in the area a friend suggested we stop by one of her favorite restaurants for brunch. I was skeptical from the outside, but on the inside I loved the charm and atmosphere of this place. With a large menu of sweet and savory options for breakfast and lunch this spot is perfect for everyone’s dining needs. After introducing herself and explaining some favorites from their menu our kind server got to work on preparing our order.

For our entrees we grabbed their crispy catfish served with delicious fries, fried chicken and homestyle gravy with sides of okra, beans, and potatoes, and a Ruben sandwich with potato soup and all the fixings. Everything was served up hot and packed with flavors of the south that had me feeling warm and fuzzy. I loved how comforting the experience was from the friendly atmosphere to the delicious cooking. I felt like I had transported back in time to a dinner from the movies and loved that the food lived up to the hype.

To complete our meal we had some of their famous cinnamon rolls that were gooey, sweet, with the perfect touch of cinnamon. Everything had great homemade flavor which I loved. I felt the portion sizes were perfect for their affordable pricing and is a place that I highly recommend checking out.
