Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii

Hawaii may be known for having delicious coffee, but did you know that you can get a taste of the islands right here in North Texas? If you are craving Kona style coffee then you need to make a trip to Bad Ass Coffee. Located in McKinney off S Central Expressway you will find this delicious coffee house that is sure to give you a kick.

We had heard of this place from a trip to Maui and we were so excited to find out about their location here in Texas. We were visiting McKinney for the weekend and knew that we had to check out this spot while we were here. Located conveniently off the highway this place is hard to miss.

We came on a Saturday morning and while busy, it was still spacious enough to enjoy our drink and not have a long wait time for a tasty beverage. Their menu is huge with options for hot or iced coffees, smoothies, teas, lemonades, bakery, breakfast, and even lunch items. They truly have something for everyone whether you are looking for a caffeine fix or a sweet treat that is perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up. Since I was looking for a mix of both I knew I had to try their Badass pumpkin latte that was on special for the fall season.

This drink came with pumpkin pie and white chocolate flavoring, milk of my choice, bold espresso shots and traditionally with whipped cream. Since I didn’t want my drink to be too sweet I held off on the whipped cream but loved the mix of flavors from the spicy and nutty pumpkin to the sweet cream of the white chocolate. It was the perfect treat for the day and held up to the name of the coffee shop.

The entire store was extremely clean and we loved checking out the different merchandise during the short wait for our barista to make my drink. It definitely lived up to the hype and I look forward to coming back soon.
