Texan Station

Whether you are staying at the Gaylord Texas Hotel or just wanting to grab a bite when visiting Grapevine, then I would highly recommend dining at Texan Station. This large scale brew pub offers a huge variety of menu items whether you are craving BBQ or a salad.

We decided to visit here after spending the day at the Gaylord for their holiday themed activites. During the week it was easy enough to grab a table for lunch and we loved that the menu offered some more affordable options than other dining stations inside the luxury hotel. The menu offered different cocktails and traditional bar food all inside their comfortable dining space. With plenty of seating and large TVs it made for a great atmosphere.

Their menu offered plenty to choose from and everyone in our group was easily able to find something that fit their dietary needs. For my lunch I wanted to try the Power Bowl that came with quiona, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, rice noodles, avocado, seasoned crispy chickpeas, and a seame-ponzu dressing with wasabi aioli. This unique mix of ingredients made for a delicious and hearty salad that kept me full until dinner time. I couldn’t believe something this fresh and tasty would be offered at a brew pub, but really enjoyed the unique and fresh flavors. My family went traditional with a loaded baked potato that came pilled high with barbacoa, queso, pico de gallo, crema and a selection of cheese. They loved the tex-mex flare and that everything was served warm. Other members enjoyed their classic burger that came with a large serving of french fries, fresh tacos with chips and salsa and their version of a cobb salad that came with corn toastadas, charred corn, black beans, avocado, tomatoes, and a chipotle ranch.

Everything had such excellent flavor and everyone commented on how happy they were with their meal. Our service was also excellent while our waitress being quick to bring our items and check in with us throughout the meal. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area and would be sure to return if we had the opportunity.
