Olmo Market

It’s a common misconception that bodegas typically exist in the northeast, but there’s a family-owned bodega right in the heart of Oak Cliff providing a third space for members of the community to come hang out. It’s got a cozy, inviting atmosphere which is perfect for working, reading or writing, or engaging in crafts. This neighborhood gathering spot functions as a small market with craft drinks and locally created goods.

Olmo Market is not only known for its craft drinks, but their friendly staff as well. My favorite drink on the menu is the mazapán horchata, but the matcha horchata is a close second. You won’t find drinks like these anywhere else in DFW. If you’re leaning more towards the fruity side, they’ve got mango horchata, piña horchata, and even refreshing hibiscus tea.

What’s more is Olmo Market is home to a chocolatería, whipping up the most delicious truffles. They’ve got traditional flavors, as well as unique flavors such as:

– Cafe con Leche

– Turkish Coffee

– Rosemary Ginger

– Strawberry Passionfruit

It’s worth following Olmo Market on social media which is where they announce pop-ups and workshops, including chocolate making classes!
