Fort Worth Botanic Garden

If you are looking to enjoy some time outdoors before the Texas heat really starts to set in, then I highly recommend a visit to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Located near the Trinity River and several other Fort Worth museums.

To plan your visit, I suggest first visiting their website that will give a detailed layout of the 120-acree garden space, list of available classes, and current exhibits that are able to enjoy while you are onsite. You can also purchase tickets in advance making your arrival as smooth as possible.

Compared to the Dallas Arboretum, the pricing is much more affordable and there is still plenty of beauty to explore. Our favorite exhibit was their Butterfly garden that is a special exhibit only available for March and April. In the exhibit we were able to witness their diverse collection of butterflies that come from various parts of the world. It was a truly immersive experience and we loved the calm and serene atmosphere. During the week it wasn’t super busy and we truly got to enjoy our time in the exhibit.

While we were at the Botanic Gardens we also enjoyed the Japanese Garden filled with beautiful landscapes and winding paths that line koi ponds. It was the perfect place to spend an afternoon.
