If you are a Fort Worth native, you may have heard the news that the popular Sour Boule is expanding! And for good reason as this local laidback spot is pumping out fresh and delicious bread, pastries and sandwiches 5 days a week. The main storefront location is located off Southwest Boulevard and is the perfect place to visit whether you are looking to pick up a loaf of their freshly made sourdough or wanting to enjoy a relaxing breakfast or lunch inside their spacious cafe. No matter where you choose to dine or what item you pick, you know that the quality and flavor will be there.
We have enjoyed the Sour Boule for many years and always try to make a visit when we are in the area. Our favorites from their menu are their rosemary sourdough loaf and the One with Cranberry sandwich that is served on their fresh sourdough with mayo that’s made in house, roasted turkey, fresh sprouts, cranberry and cream cheese that brings the flavor of some of my favorite Thanksgiving dishes year-round. Everything on their menu is a standout and baked fresh, so, you know that you are getting something quality on every single order.
On my most recent visit, I did a pickup order. They make it easy to browse their menu online and select items for pick-up whether you are grabbing lunch on the go or doing a preorder to enjoy over the weekend. For this order we grabbed a loaf of the rosemary sourdough and some of their jalapeno cheddar bagels made from sourdough discard. We had our order placed for the following day and received timely updates on when our order was packaged and ready to go(even a couple hours before our pickup time). To make things easy, they have a separate side entrance with signage for pick up orders. Simply checkout online and your bakery order will be set aside on the pickup shelf ready for you to enjoy. The flavors of both items we picked were incredible and tasted great both by themselves and paired with other ingredients to make decedent breakfast sandwiches at home.
