Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery

While Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery is known for their boutique style cakes that are not only tasty, but truly eye-catching, did you know that their Bakery is open daily to the public? It was news to me and felt like a fun find while I was exploring the Downtown Arlington area on a Saturday morning. Located off East Street this beautiful cake shop serves up a tasty case full of pastries including cupcakes, cookies, cake balls, and you guessed it slices of cake.

While I wasn’t in the mood for a full sugary pastry, I knew I wanted a drink to help cool me down from the warm walk outside and was excited to learn that they also have a coffee shop inside. Before even entering the bakery, you are greeted by the sweet smells of what’s baking inside before you even walk through the door. Inside you will be instantly greeted by their friendly team that is extremely knowledge about what lies inside the case which was packed with delicious goodies and all sorts of flavors whether you enjoy chocolate, fruit, cookies or more.

I took some time to look over their menu but felt drawn to their salted caramel cold brew which came recommended by the associate behind the counter. While I waited for my drink to be crafted, I took some time to explore the cakes on display throughout the shop that were beautifully decorated and would be perfect for any special event. The staff was so friendly and chatted with me while I waited and made me feel instantly at home. Once my drink was ready to be enjoyed, I couldn’t wait to dive in as it looked almost too good to drink. From the first heavenly sip I knew I was in trouble and my drink didn’t last me long. The sweet and savory combination from the salty caramel and bitter cold brew was the perfect summer sweet treat.

This place was just what I was looking for and I hope to return soon to try out something from the pasty case. If you are in the area and looking for a great deal, I highly recommend visiting on Wednesday or Saturday afternoons for their cupcake happy hour that is sure to delight. It may be hard to choose a flavor so it’s the perfect time to grab a few to try when you are craving something sweet.
