Morgan’s Ice Cream

You scream, I scream, and with this Texas heat I think we all scream for some tasty ice cream. Located in the south side area of Fort Worth, you can find Morgan’s Ice Cream off South Main Street. Winner of the Best of Fort Worth and DFW Favorites for multiple years in a row, one visit to this famous ice cream shop will show you just why.

I had never been before but after enjoying dinner in this lively neighborhood I knew I wanted a sweet treat to help cool off on a warm summer day. We stumbled across Morgan’s and were instantly excited by their bright colors and welcoming storefront that has us intrigued. There was even a small line, and we knew that it must be good, so we decided to give them a try. The associate behind the counter welcomed us and walked through the different flavor options that were standard on their menu in addition to two seasonal flavors that were available for only one month. It was hard to choose as everything sounded so good but loved that they offered complimentary samples so you could help narrow down your decision. They truly had something for everyone whether you crave chocolate, fruity, or something in between.

Since I knew I wanted something on the lighter side, I opted for the seasonal salted honey peach that was only available for a limited time while my friend got; they’re not so honey vanilla in a waffle cone dish. The associate freshly prepared the waffle cone and brought us out our freshly scooped ice cream to enjoy. The peach was perfect for summer, and I loved the mix of sweet and salty flavors. The vanilla was so comforting accompanied by the hot waffle cone and mixed well with the bright touch of honey. Morgan’s was the perfect place to stop for a summer treat and somewhere I would come back to again when visiting this Fort Worth neighborhood.
