Located off Melbourne Road near the Northeast Mall and highway 820 you will find this no-frills cafe that is open daily from 7:30am-9pm. Whether you are in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they have you covered with a full menu of options you are sure to love.
We came here as a group, and the indoor dining was perfect for our party that could all easily fit inside a booth. We came during lunch hour during the week, and we were able to find a table easily. While coined as Mexican restaurant, their menu features a variety of both Mexican and American style cuisines with everything from classic buttermilk pancakes for breakfast to a tamale plate for lunch and dinner. Since our group was craving Mexican fare we all ordered something from that side of the menu. I decided on the chicken sour cream enchiladas that were special for the day and served with beans and rice. The portion size was huge for the unbeatable price of only $9.99. The flavors were comforting and delicious, and the entire meal had me satisfied and full for several hours.
Others in my group enjoyed the green sauce enchiladas stuffed with beef, the fried chimichanga that came with chicken, cheese, beans, and topped with a spicy ranchero sauce, and the beef crispy taco platter. Everyone in the group commented on how flavorful the dishes were. We were impressed with the quality of the meals we received for the great prices. Not only was the food amazing, but we felt like we had great service from the staff. This spot feels like a great hidden gem in the Hurst community and we look forward to returning in the future for another great meal.
